ADY, JONATHAN, (4) son of Joseph and Margaret, bapt. 6 Nov 1715in London. Is probably the same Jonathan who died about Jan 1800 in Hartford County, Maryland. Indicated for theft in 1737, sentenced to death, sentence commuted and transported to Maryland, settling in what is now Baltimore County. Married Rebecca York (daughter of James and Rachel York and granddaughter of George and Hannah Skelton York) on April 1743. Served in Rev. War as a private in Capt. Robert Harris Company of the Flying Camp. In 1783 was in Gunpowder Upper and Lower Hundreds, owning 102 acres part Bond's Pleasant Hills.
