OBITUARY
Mr. Israel Cotterman, one of Hocking county's good farmers dead.He was born June 28, 1830, in Hopewell township, Perry county. At the age of 23 years, January 20, 1853 he was married to Miss Magdalena Martzolff, which union was blessed with eight children, three sons and five daughters. His health was good until within the last year, when he began to grow feeble. Saturday September 24th he fell asleep in Jesus at the age of 74 years, three months and four days, leaving a widow, tow sons, five daughters, four brothers, two sisters, 22 grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn his loss. He was buried in the St. John's cemetery of the Evangelist Lutheran church, Rev. E. G. Spoehr officiating. |
