His remains were laid to rest in the Mt. Olvet Cemetery at 1:00 o'clock. Mr. Young leaves a wife, one daughter and three sons besides quite a number of grandchildren to morn his lost. There was no funeral preached as he claimed he preached his own funeral as he lived here on earth. His age was 83 years, he was about the oldest man here in East Windsor except James S. McVey who was 91 years old last December. THE MORGAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; FRIDAY FEBRUARY 23, 1894 AN OLD AND UPRIGHT CITIZEN PASSES AWAY Since writing are last letter uncle Henry Young, one of areoldest and best known citizens had been stricken with paralysis January 31 after suffering severely for several days, passed away from earth at 9:00 o'clock PM, Friday, February 9th. He was born in Loudoun County, Virginia, August 29, 1810, being 83 years. He moved here and purchased a farm, where he has every since resided, from Elijah Rutledge in 1852. In politics he was a firm and unwavering democrat, always voting the straight ticket from president down to school director. Although not a member of any church, yet he so lived as to have the confidence and respect of all his neighbors. His honesty and integrity of character was not in question. His long life was a quiet and uneventful one none of those who knew him can't say he did anything to harm injure or wound a fellow citizen. In this respect at least his example might be followed with profit by man others. He was interred at Mt. Olvet Cemetery Sunday, February 11th. Athis own request no funeral discourse was delivered at the grave as he had always preached his own funeral in his everyday life and wanted no other when he was dead. He was married to Rebecca Combs and was the father of seven children, four of whom together with his aged companion are left to morn his lost. Peace to his ashes. THE MORGAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT; THURSDAY JANUARY 15, 1925 Miss. Martha Jane Young, aged 82 years, died Saturday morning atthe home of her niece, Mrs. J. T. Newman of Neeleysville, following a three day illness of paralysis. She was a daughter of the late Henry and Rebecca Young and was born in Loudoun County, Virginia. She was a woman highly regarded and was always found ready to help in time of need and will be sadly missed in the community where she for so many years resided. Church of McConnelsville. Interment was made at the Mt. Olvet Cemetery.
