DEATHS AND FUNERALS
Michael Furda Sr.
Michael Furda Sr., 72, of 773 Prospect Ave. died of complicationsMonday at 8:05 p.m. in his home. He had been ill several weeks.
Mr. Furda, a retired boiler-maker for the Weirton Steel Co., wasa member of St. Andrew's Russian Orthodox Church in Mingo Junction. He was born in Czechoslovakia, the son of the late Michael and Ann Varga Furda.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Susie Lesko Furda; three sons, Danielof Wintersville, Michael Jr. of New Castle, Pa., and William of Weirton; one daughter, Mrs. John Lengyel of Steubenville; one sister, Mrs. Mary Serbin of Mingo Junction; a sister and a brother in Czecholslovakia, and 12 grand-children. One son, George, died March 31, 1918.
Friends may call at the Elliott Funeral Home> Parastas serviceswill be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m. today and Thursday.
Funeral services will be Friday at 9 a.m. in St. Andrews RussianOrthodox Church in Mingo Junction. The Rev. Far. Nicholas V. Senofsky will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
