JosephBurdett 29 VA farmer 2 years in Iowa, Rachel Burdett 23 OH, David S Burdett 5 OH, William S Burdett 2 IA, ----- Burdett female IA. On August 29, 1856, Joseph Burdett purchased "Ten acres off ofthe west side (running the width of the 40 acres) of the south east quarter of the south west quarter of section No. 10 in township No. 70 of range No. 14, and warrant the title against all persons whomsoever." from George and Emily Nixon, residents of Wappello County. In probate records, box 6, in the Bloomfield Iowa Court House:Rachel Burdett appointed Jonathan Cohagan the administrator of the estate of Joseph Burdett who died on 9 September 1857. He was appointed on 17 October 1857.
