Note:
Joseph Bangs,Shipwright of Liverpool and captain in the Queens Countymilitia.
He built a number of vessels at Liverpool. He was master workman forSimion
Perkins and others on the construction and repair of mills and ships.He was
admitted as a propietor of the township of Liverpool before Dec. 2,1776. He
was a constable in the community. On July 2,1779 he was comissioned assecond
lieutenant in Queens County Militia. n Aug.22,1793 as captain. Byfirst wife
had 12 children and by second wife 2 children.
